Disclaimer: Be aware that the inner city public transportation company does not share its data with Google Maps. Therefore we advise you to make use of the RMV website (app for ios / Android) or the DB website (app for ios / Android / Windows Phone) for on the fly navigation. Network maps can be obtained here.

Disclaimer: Frankfurt inner city transportation differentiates between 3 different kinds of trains: S-bahn (commuter railway; Logo white S on a green background), U-bahn (Underground; Logo white U on a blue background), Straßenbahn (tram; logo: white train on an orange surface). Do not confuse those!

Warning: German train ticket vendors are specified for the bills they accept. Most often it is easier to find a vending machine which accepts 10 Euro bills than to find one that accepts 50 Euro bills. In order to avoid inconveniences you can also use the aforementioned apps to purchase tickets on the fly.
