Professor Antonella Sorace (University of Edinburgh and Bilingualism Matters) will deliver a plenary lecture on "Bilingualism: An Investment for Life" on Wednesday, December 7, at 17:00, on the Westend Campus of the Goethe University, IG Farben Building, room Eisenhower (with consecutive interpreting English → German).

Going Romance is the European conference series that focuses on Romance languages from the perspective of current linguistic theorizing. In the three decades of its existence, it has developed into the major European discussion forum for theoretically relevant research on Romance languages where current ideas about language in general and about Romance languages in particular are discussed.
The thirtieth symposium on Romance linguistics will be held from 8 December 2016 to 10 December 2016 in Frankfurt am Main at the Johann Wolfgang Goethe-Universität. The conference includes two days of general sessions, for which papers on all aspects and disciplines of Romance linguistics are invited, and two workshops with parallel sessions on the third day:

  1. Language change meets acquisition
  2. Prosody meets Syntax
